Birds Ensemble, whose foundation was laid in 2010 by Gulsah Erol and settled into full group form in May 2015, absorbs elements of jazz, rock and classical music into traditional components of German Romanticism and Nordic Jazz. Simultaneously, Birds Ensemble also nourishes from manifestations of various cultures that have the ability to portray the contemporary sound world within the framework of the "New Music".
In May 2015, the group premiered as a quartet (carrying the same name) with a concert themed "A Melancholy in Middle East" (which was held in Eskisehir Anatolian University).
